Cindy has lived in the Kona area of the Big Island since 1978 and has raised her 3 children and now enjoying her 7 grandchildren who were all born and raised here. Hawaii and real estate are her passion and life and after 40 years of living in paradise, she focuses on her clients and finding them the property of their dreams. Cindy’s love of Hawaii began as a little girl after she visited family on Oahu when it became a state in 1959. In Waikiki, her grandfather swam with both Duke Kahanumoku and Johnny Wiesmiller while training for the olympics. Cindy was destined to move to Hawaii but only after getting her Associates degree in Interior Design from a Boston College. At age 19 she moved to Maui for a few years where her 3 brothers lived, and later settled in Kona for a more rural lifestyle.
Prior to joining Venture Sotheby's International Realty her real estate career began in 1990 at Century 21 where she was part owner and top producer. She's achieved the highest ranks in sales year over year and was ranked #5 nationally in 2005 out of 45,000 agents. Cindy strives for excellence to provide her clients with the quality service that everyone deserves. In 2008 she went to Trinity University in Dublin, Ireland to receive her CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) designation which not many agents have achieved because of the time and effort it takes to get it. Because of her CIPS, Cindy is in the 'Who's Who in International Real Estate'. In the past she has also enjoyed using her design talents to buy, fix up and resell her own real estate along with helping her clients do the same. Her daughter Jamaica and daughter-in-law Alena have joined her team by having their mortgage broker license to qualify potential buyers. It’s turned into a family business and recently, her husband Joe Milburn also joined her team as a sales associate. Rounding out her team is Paige who provides transaction coordination support and Kamalani who is her marketing and admin assistant.
'Ultimately my goal is to make the buying and selling experience an exciting and happy time for my clients,' says Cindy. 'Their success is my success.' Having the knowledge, extensive experience, and local savvy, Cindy has closed close to 1,000 successful transactions with clients who remain her friends for life. She also enjoys traveling and meeting people from all walks of life. In her leisure time she enjoys golf, outrigger canoe paddling, paddle boarding, surfing, hot yoga, bodybuilding, and playing with the grandkids!
